I had the pleasure of meeting you on one of my first days of volunteering at Winslow Animal Sanctuary and you impressed me that day, as in just a few short minutes you taught me so much about the sheep you were grooming and the history behind how she arrived at the farm. Your article is well written and insightful and regardless of whether that child was allergic or the mom just felt it was safer for whatever reasons, you did express exactly how I feel when I am around animals of any kind. There is nothing like the peacefulness and happiness that the animals there bring me. Well done.

The roosters can be put outside of the pen and they will be fine. They will probably perch on top of their house at night and will hang around their pen all day. Give them food and water on the outside. This is my technique and everyone is happy!

I have 5 roosters that need a home 4 – 9 week old cockerals and one 10 month old rooster a mistake from the hatchery. I don’t have the heart to kill them.I love the birds, but they are beating my hens to death. Any advice I seen your farm on TV this morning.Thank You, AL

I visited your place a while back and plan on visiting again very soon. I actually visit your web-site often just to check out the beautiful photos of your animals. I have raised my five-year-old daughter to LOVE animals and care for them as I do, and thankfully she does. We have a German Shepherd and three cats and they are her “babies.” She cuddles with them, helps me feed them, plays with them and loves listening to the cats purr. I am so proud that she is an “animal lover” just like her Mom!!
